Hey, I just got word in that my first book, Mythos Magic, a project for Chaosium, has -just- been released.

I'm really proud of this one, actually. I think if I was still signifigantly involved in RPGs, I'd dig on this product.

It was a lot of work but, hell man, spending fifty thousand words reporting back from the front line of years of occult research and relating back to H.P Lovecraft's bizarre and cruel world? That ain't exactly unfun. If you want to know how Nagual, Pow Wow, Yog Sothoth, the 93 and Chaos Current and the incredible Alexis-Vincent-Charles Berbiguier de Terre-Neuve du Thym all work together, and how you can play and use these ideas, you'll dig it.

I'm particularly proud of the chapter dealing with various ways to look at Mythos Magic - as superscience, dark powers, what have you.

Edit: Thanks to Michelle.

Tonia Walden cover! Sweeet.

Anyway. That's the best news I've had in a while.

No idea but when I get contributor copies I'll do the humiliating trudge into stores saying 'Do you want to buy this?' and let you know how I'm going.

I've sent MilSims an email to express my interest.

(I am amused by the note of uncertainty on the official site. "Here is, hopefully, a useful breakdown of what magic is...")

Yeah. Nothing says cool like "A warning: many assume that Nodens title, Lord of the Great Abyss is actually that of Da’at, or Daath, a complex cabbalistic notion meaning ‘Reason’. This would indicate that Nodens is in fact devoted to snaring more than monsters. However, modern magicians, noting that Daath sits upon a Great Abyss, a rift on the Tree of Life, believe Nodens may be more sinister than noted. Daath is guarded by the great demon Choronzon, who destroys the ego of those magicians unready for enlightenment. It may be that Nodens is only a face of some great evil, joyfully presenting an easy mask to dissuade magicians from drawing on the full power of the Dweller in the Abyss."

Ladies, can you resist the Christian now?

But thanks kindly.

I'm a nerd.
Anyone who writes a reference text = hell cool in my eyes.
If I ever meet any of the men who wrote my physics text books I will squeal like a fangirl and mob them for an autograph.

I take issue with your Hebrew translation, sir.

However, top stuff. I have no idea who these Alexis-Vincent-Charles Berbiguier de Terre-Neuve du Thym sorts are, but plan to find out.

I can't figure out whether this fits perfectly or clashes horribly with your current life plans. Or possibly both at once.

Regardless, my hat's off to you, and I'll definitely be getting a copy come payday :)
