I've spoken to and about C.A. But apparently the local community think his work is of a high quality. Me? I've had my say about him to his "face", online.

In my comments I also used big words and said this in coming years would be seen as the pinnacle of 21st century fiction

then I spouted some Proust to show I was important

anyway hope you win!

Came in silver, last time. Losing to someone who... isn't actually a writer... Got silvers in other categories including to the fellow who arranged the rewards. So, you know, I didn't take it seriously.

But this time, Dennis Kitchen is judging, along with some other folks I respect, so I'm kind of digging it a bit more.

I'm pretty sure it was this year. I don't think I did any comics last year (except Criss Cross Jazz)

But I could be wrong. Will have to check.

"Sadly, Denis Kitchen has had to bow out as a judge this year, but he has been ably replaced by the legendary RC Harvey!

Mr. Harvey, as you may know, is a well respected author and comics historian and is a regular contributor to The Comics Journal with his 'Comicopia' column.

He is by no means a poor replacement and more than fills Mr Kitchen's place on the judging panel."
